The "half-blood prince" book 6's title refers to is neither Harry Potter nor Lord Voldemort. (Source: JKRowling.com.)
new! Reader "GoldenPrision" has pointed out that Justin Finch-Fletchley, a classmate of Harry's, was accepted at Eton College before receiving his letter for Hogwarts: "Those Potter fans in the UK know that only the very rich or those with royal blood attend Eton."
This is an excellent conjecture, and goes along with Rowling's hints about Chamber of Secrets and Half-Blood Prince being related. In book 2, Justin reveals that he is Muggle-born (read: half-blood). Other interesting tidbits: Justin's name is called out in book one during the Sorting ceremony, and is not mentioned again. In book five, he becomes a member of Dumbledore's Army.
new! Reader John believes Rubeus Hagrid to be the half-blood prince. From a Rita Skeeter article in Chamber of Secrets: "...the Daily Prophet has now unearthed evidence that Hagrid is not -- as he has always pretended -- a pure-blood wizard."
